"Since You've Asked"

I hope your warm during these cold days. Here's a wonderful song Judy Collins wrote. I would like to dedicate it to YOU since this month is February, month of Love and all that happy heart stuff. This song is for you Precious Hearts. I hope the sound of it warms you up and fills a little of your time & space with tenderness.

Dan Fogelberg & Tim Weisberg reach out to the listener with music brimming with a  melody beyond beauty, the rhythm is romantic and the voice is silky smooth as it  slides and glides in and out of a lovely place with a spirit so soft and sweet.

Happy Valentines Day's Sweet Ones!

Mooniac

I guess you could say my heart holds a special place for you. Yes, after all these years I've known you. I miss you while your out of sight for a few weeks but then I see a glimmer of your light, it squeezes through the night sky, the smile slowly widens  into a full blown beaming eye poppin radiant glow. It's kind of hard not to take you personally, through thick and thin and over the course of my life time, many moons and memories ago... the moon, as wonderous and breathtaking as ever!
I mean it man, I love you moon... for watching my back all these years and still on the ready to light my way, follow me home, dance that slow dance you do, suspended in the sky like the greatest show on earth out and over the strata in the galactic big top for all to take in.
* Lovin the view from here my old fatihful companion.. You, the one, my only  moon. Here- heres a wish, a kiss and hug for you.. bounce it back to everyone here would you?, for those who see you and appreciates your far out ways and who are mooniacs like me. xo

Words and Birds

Word! Words are like beautiful birds that flock together. The right combination of words used to convey a concept is like a mouth watering meal. The written and spoken word when pieced together correctly is so satisfying. A well strung sentence is a symphony of sound to hear, appetizing and pleasing to read, the blend is magic and delicious, strong, gentle, heart warming and alarming, spellbinding and repulsive. Words to the listener, speaker, reader and writer are like clay to the potter, paint on a pallet., chemicals to the chemist and fuel to the rocket.

The power of the spoken and written word is potent and prompts every emotion possible, from pain and glory to elation, frustration, indignation and adoration. So much to be said about words... their meaning, symbolic of any given time in history, the present moment and the future. WORD

Here's a fantastic example of words in flight resplendent with a wide variety of dives and leaps, launches, spins, twists and turns, thought provoking, punny and fun down and not too dirty, up high, dry, witty and wise combinations of words.

From long time friend and confidant; Mark Livingston de Las Vegas, New Mexico. Thanks Mark!

A paraprosdokian is a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to re-frame or reinterpret the first part. It is frequently used for humorous or dramatic effect.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Year Out Year In

The baton of time is being passed, time marches, races, speeds, goes by at any given moment seemingly slowly, sometimes fast, statically, sporadically, intermittently constantly, fleetingly, always moving passing by waiting for no one. Change occurs in the stillness and in the flurry of activity, in a surge, a thrust, a sound, a wave length, sequentially in order. The clock Non-stop, the clock ticks our hearts beat, interrupted only by malware, malfunction, ache or break. Unwavering outstretched hands of time continue keeping track of the seconds, minutes, hours. Yesterday turns into today, tonight slips into tomorrow. Last years ups and downs, smiles and frowns, tears and cheers gave way to this years hopes, dreams, triumphs, tragedies, spills and chills and will make way for next years delights, disappointments, milestones and mistakes which will remind me how curious, fun, interesting, breathtaking, bad, bitter, better and beautiful life is. What was, is, yet to unfold remains at the mercy of time, tables, lines, land marks, dates, history, the present, the future, how life takes place constantly  measured, calculated, considered, referenced and changing.

Luxuriously Lunar

What a spectacle we have on our hands, what a show. The earth robes the moon with her black velvet, dark blue shadow. The sun whispers it's celestial secrets to you from behind the scenes. Light, color, space bend, bump, grind, glide, slip and slide into a perfectly orchestrated dance, a luxurious and smooth award winning, spell binding performance. It's the Waldorf Astoria, The Copacabana, Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall all wrapped up into one amazing theater. The eyes full of stars witness an uncommon sight to behold.
The Swan dives as the heavens display the minuet of  magic. We marvel and wonder, study and observe the vastness of the stage. Each movement as subtle as the moon is big. As dramatic as the final curtain call. Mean while on-lookers in the astronomical, astrological, scientific, physics,  environmental, sociological, biological, zoological and romantic schools of thought ponder the natural, cosmic activity with excitement, great anticipation, hope for everything and anything that can be harvested from such a phenomenal moment in time and space.
