Happy Birthday!

🌷 Happy Birthday to you, Happy Blessed, Beautiful Birthday to you! 

Since way back when, here now and into the future, Here's to all of it, life, La Vida Loco, precious and fleeting, fast, furious, funky, fun, fantastic, fragile, simple, sweet, mysterious, bountiful, vulnerable, resilient life! It is quite a ride that has included stalling out, overheating, running on empty, the slow drive, switched gears and grind into overdrive. The steep up hills and downs level out eventually as  wrong turns, detours and road blocks backfired into heartache which rolled into healing, minor and major tune-ups that overhauls that result in positive seeds sowed and good trouble incited. To live and age in the name of what is good, healthy and happy with the intention of driving onto smooth paths and gracious horizons creates a safe and sound journey and one that I do not feel completely alone on. 🚘

JAX 🐾

We rescued eachother over twelve years ago. It was as much of an adjustment to get used to having the big brutus of a Boxer around as it is now to adjust to good dog not being here now. His soul and great spirit remains and visiting me the afternoon following his send-off in the morning at the veterinarians office. The painful decision stemmed from advancing heart failure that was making it more challenging for him to get comfortable and move.

In the dream I sit at the dining room table and look up to see Jax standing in front of the loveseat. I stand up and walk a few steps toward him to make sure he is really there. It is so vivid yet I think to myself, this is a dream. I walk to the other side of the couch and good boy moves over to where I sit so that I can love him-up with kisses and hugs about his beautiful furry face and head. The moment with Jax dissipated into my awaking from the nap was taking. It was as powerful and heaven sent message for me as the butterfly incidents following brother Mark's death in 1994.

It is so amazing how much our beloved pets mean to us, their presence enriches our lives. It is priceless therapy to know the warmth, love and trust of a pet who makes life so much more enjoyable and fun and full of surprises and joy. 

I miss you quite much, Jax, my guy, my hito, companion through Covid, the good days and bad, the wonderful times and worrisome occasions that turned-out better just having you around, so comforting with the innocence, humility and heart warming ways befitting an angel. 🐾💔

Miss You Mom

What a good woman. What a great role model, mentor, solid citizen, kind, fun and funny, compassionate, gentle, smart and a blessing to her family. Thank you so much dear Mother. 

I know I tried every drop of patience you had. We loved eachother regardless of the missteps and mistakes. Love wins as the most important matter of the heart it keeps us connected to the core with people who have loved us and who we will always love.

You are right here in my heart and soul, Mama.

Oh c'mon, this has got to be the best of the best commercials ever, simply brilliant! 

This video is currently my all time favorite, it is world class kooky, crazy, fun. The ensemble cast of creatures  blend in purrfect harmony to create a colossal progrum and make beautiful music together.

This is the stuff sweet dreams are made of and might perhps offer a glimpse of heaven.

Hope 2013 is strong, healthy, happy and full of really good stuff!
