Moments of Madness

April 16, 2007 Blood bath at Virginia Tech University. Blacksburg,Virginia Home of the Hokies. What is a Hokie? Heartbroken, bewildered, heavy hearted, wounded from the wildest acts of rage and violence it has ever known or could have imagined.

The horror, hell, hate, permeates injury, emitting the foul odor of evil, pain, torment, terror accompanied by extreme contempt for life, goodness and reason.
The blood splatters and stains, never to be washed away entirely. The vulnerable robbed, ripped apart from life leaving the bloody raw mournful remains of the worst memories, the horrifying images...moments of madness. Lives are left feeling beaten, bruised beyond recognition, seeking escape from assaulted spirits still bleeding, tattered and torn from the destruction and despair deliberately doled out.
The shots crack and crack again with copious cruelty at the hands of one of their own.

Delicate, the brittle nature of a lost, broken spirit, desperate to find a way out of the abyss. With no hope in sight the anguish takes over provoking the worst and beyond. The grim, grotesque theft of life, stolen, leaving loved ones bewildered and wandering, soul searching for answers, with outstretched arms like an orphan pleading for a loving embrace, compassion, comfort, kindness and care. The nightmarish storm turns everything cold in an instant. We ask ourselves when will we stop drowning in darkness and run...run for our lives toward the LIGHT, LOVE, in PEACE & with RESPECT to precious LIFE?

God grant us your peace amid the ugly, wicked storm, the harsh nature of humanity hungers, begs and pleads for your Grace, the awareness of your Holy Spirit.
All creation on earth fights to hold on to what is right and true in constant pursuit of a better way, the right way, your wise way out of wrecklessness, arrogance, ignorance, disrespect...the malnutrition of our lives and these times.
