POV

One word, three syllables; PERSPECTIVE, a way of looking at anything. It is a slippery slope, the spins, twists and turns can rattle your cage float your boat and get your goat. Your Point Of View can make or break any given moment, any given experience like the weather effects the day and a chronic physical, mental or spiritual pain clouds your thinking. My view point can piss me off, make me feel uneasy OR at ease and content, pleased to the point of blissful abandon and feel like everything is alright in the world.

What is happening, might happen or has happened is not always clear as to the why's and wherefores, the unfair nature of things, full of unwanted anguish when harsh reality breathes down your neck like an angry open wound OR the particular moment feels right perhaps holy, happy as can be and complete. Attitude accompanies the Point Of View and is worn like a freshly laundered garment, pressed and well taken care of, or scanty, weather beaten and threadbare to the bone. From the beginning, right in the middle or in the end. Each thought whether prayerful, excellent, pleasant, super cool, creative, painful, pathetic, crazy, cold or luke warm, it flows in and out, ergo, our stream of consciousness, which does not necessarily include a Point Of View whatsoever.

One's Point of View is Perception's twin that paints the past, present and future picture. Perhaps this or that is a waste of time and effort, pointless OR seen as magically delicious, delightful, sweet and satisfying. It, Life is largely based on our own design, our own Point Of View while simply thinking, reflecting, meditating, existing. Yes, living, breathing taking it all in one minute, one miserable, magnificent, melancholy, miraculous minute and thought at a time, constant as a heart beat. When we are inclined to size-up a situation, if and how it effects us, good or bad, right or wrong; The Point Of View is determined by times of our lives with swatches of multi-textured fabric that wrap around our unique perspectives, varied and diverse, rich, mysterious and simple as a rain drop, snow flake, falling leave and whisper in the breeze.

It's All Good ~

There is a place where it is all good and calm, clean, healthy of mind, body and spirit, secure, safe and beautiful. It is where love and peace dwell and all is well, where blessings are itemized, the inventory vast, constant miracles abound and whispers from heaven, common. With a keen sense of appreciation for countless blessings received I wrap humble gratitude around my heart like the warm glow of fire underneath the massive hearth.

I pray we access the sacred place of peace in the midst of doubt and despair. I wish the young and old, forgotten and forsaken, the mistreated and traumatized from all walks of life in every part of the world would find the peaceful, perfect powerful place they long for. For light in dark places where suffering and fear are no longer constant companions nor reality so harsh. I pray consolation overthrows what seems hopeless and joy hastens to diminish sorrow.

It's not all good and not quite clear as to why anguish, anger, greed, hate and oppression become main languages spoken. One person lives with chronic mental, emotional or physical pain while another lavishes in the pleasures of life. If only life were fair and provided equal distribution of love, compassion, happiness, where kindness and respect are the first and last order of the day and we realize every moment in between is an opportunity to make it all good.

Something Good

The fire starts with a spark, the small light glows brightly then dims with the mundane the day in day out grind transitions into joy and excitement as glorious as the sound of a finely tuned grand piano. Another shift in time and space as the wind fans the flame with anticipation for something good a sweet stirring in a quiet heart beating with a powerful rhythm. The possibilities are spectacular in scope, the wondrous world, wild, wicked saturated in splendid beauty beyond our view yet within our reach.

We ponder life's mysteries, surprises, blindsided by bad news, overcome with grief then taken back by a story of humanity at it's finest, resilient, merciful, thoughtful with compassion for the innocent, neglected, abandoned. People and animals alike are rescued and rescue those divinely appointed in the name of mutually salvaging a broken heart, the injured and isolated spirit. The resilience of the hurt and heart sick resounds with heart stopping, joyful gratitude and humility with an appreciation for the ablity to move past the pitch blackness into a new light of a better and brighter day. ☼

Ice Cream

You scream, they scream, we all scream for ice cream.
The ice cream truck should slow down
so we can catch-up to it and enjoy a cool ice cream treat,
that would be so neat if we could eat ~
before the driver speeds away to another day

May

As glorious as you are mysterious, brutally handsome as you are bitter sweet, sprouting buds, birds and bee's paint mother earths beautiful face with fragrant scents, mouthwatering flavors, fresh flowers the sights and sounds leave one breathless, bewildered in awe and part of the season of change, connected to earth's lavish tapestry.
The wind chimes stir and the cool evening casts curious shadows on the wall as the moon and stars vie for our attention. Meanwhile planes seem to fly playfully in the sky, a dog shakes and her collar clinks against her gold fur, in the distance another dog barks in harmony with the sound of cars driving to and fro.

The sounds of the city create background music with a familiar rhythm that is comforting, often transparent as the melody blends into the day and night. The morning light is welcomed or dreaded accompanied by the sweet sound of birds chirping getting on with the business of welcoming another day in May.

Good Luck!

Luck, Goodness, Faith, Hope, Wishes, Prayers, Thoughts, thugs, mugs, Pugs on the rug you want to HUG.  It's a rambling ride more than a stroll, a hard rock, roll and rumble take it in stride. Travel well be prepared with respect and pride in doing right by life. Maintain a sense of awareness for the natural horsepower to run smoother on cleaner fuel and change the lackluster plugs that lose their spark.

We are given the tools to help fix a blown-out tired soul and change run down tread with simple encouraging words, to handle the world with care, kindness, compassion and rebuild with spirit-lifting, heart-healing light-casting lubrication. Restore the weary traveler, whenever possible lift the shroud of despair and doubt from the wounded road warrior in an uneven, unjust world, if only one weary traveler at a time.

To cherish life is to live with passion for love, peace, a place in the heart that makes sense to retreat to, rest, renew and recharge.  The battles, losses, victories, disappointments, life's delights, a good laugh or a good cry... days and nights, years, the lives and loves we experience make us who we are, who we were and who we will be.

Chemical Extraction

The chemist who can extract from his heart's elements,
compassion, respect, longing, patience, regret, surprise and forgiveness
and compound them into one can create that atom which is called love.

Beginnings

The beginning of new life, a new day or year, a relationship, project or career, it starts out at the beginning so hopeful, happy about the possibilities the goodness and potential growth. We wonder which direction the wind will take us. We move forward with good intention to love, to be our best, a blessing and better for the wear and tear.

Beginnings prepare the way for the rest of the journey and destination the challenge to do it right with respect to those in our orbit. We honor precious life by living on the one day at a time plan, learning lessons we hope, gently, loving in accordance with those we must treasure, cherish and love to infinity as we keep them close to our heart and we grow like beautiful flowers in the garden, as the days go by the tending of our garden becomes second nature and necessary to thrive and stay alive. Life unfolds in mysterious ways we could have never guessed and more than our imagination could have ever dreamed as the left curves and sharp edges and sudden twists and turns leave us bewildered but stronger and wiser, toughened-up and tenderized.

From the beginning we start fresh with any luck on an even playing field with equal opportunities and chances to create a quality of life,  beautiful moments, times that matter, mean the most and are important. We start with an eagerness to make it count, to be excellent for excellence sake, to anticipate the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary places and people, situations and experiences that will stay with us forever if only in our memory. In the end we want to look back at a good run, the good fight for the betterment of the whole, the love that will linger in our thoughts, forlorn for those heartfelt connections however fleeting or lasting they are. We hope for and hang-on to happiness, peace of mind, finding our way, quiet nights and full days filled with joy and the satisfying fragrance of everyday miracles, blessings, light, love, laughter, encouragement, respect and endings that may or may not happen at all.
