FIRE ~

Imagine being told you must leave your home, your happy, cozy little corner of the world. It is not optional... Flee, evacuate, everyone, immediately but calmly for your own protection, from the raging fire that only eleven years ago also threatened to envelop a place thousands call home. The elderly, the sick, helpless, the logistics of epic proportion. The furious forces of nature encroach on the nuclear laboratory located in the heart of the hilltop town.

The feel of fire alone is formidable, powerful, unforgiving. The look and smell of it is a serious matter, and calls for safety precautions. With the capacity to create a soft glow from candle light or cook food on the crackling camp fire. Fire is as practical and priceless a resource as it is potentially deadly and destructive.

An enchanting land burns, hearts break, homes and other dwellings burn, charred like match sticks, irreplacables torched, animals perish in the inferno as prayers are lifted up to help control, snuff-out and begin the healing, to somehow soothe the scars on the beautiful, battered and bruised face of dear mother earth.

May The Holy Spirit protect the people, pets, wild life whose lives and existence are in peril. Guide them with the grace of God now and forever. Amen
