May

As glorious as you are mysterious, brutally handsome as you are bitter sweet, sprouting buds, birds and bee's paint mother earths beautiful face with fragrant scents, mouthwatering flavors, fresh flowers the sights and sounds leave one breathless, bewildered in awe and part of the season of change, connected to earth's lavish tapestry.
The wind chimes stir and the cool evening casts curious shadows on the wall as the moon and stars vie for our attention. Meanwhile planes seem to fly playfully in the sky, a dog shakes and her collar clinks against her gold fur, in the distance another dog barks in harmony with the sound of cars driving to and fro.

The sounds of the city create background music with a familiar rhythm that is comforting, often transparent as the melody blends into the day and night. The morning light is welcomed or dreaded accompanied by the sweet sound of birds chirping getting on with the business of welcoming another day in May.

Good Luck!

Luck, Goodness, Faith, Hope, Wishes, Prayers, Thoughts, thugs, mugs, Pugs on the rug you want to HUG.  It's a rambling ride more than a stroll, a hard rock, roll and rumble take it in stride. Travel well be prepared with respect and pride in doing right by life. Maintain a sense of awareness for the natural horsepower to run smoother on cleaner fuel and change the lackluster plugs that lose their spark.

We are given the tools to help fix a blown-out tired soul and change run down tread with simple encouraging words, to handle the world with care, kindness, compassion and rebuild with spirit-lifting, heart-healing light-casting lubrication. Restore the weary traveler, whenever possible lift the shroud of despair and doubt from the wounded road warrior in an uneven, unjust world, if only one weary traveler at a time.

To cherish life is to live with passion for love, peace, a place in the heart that makes sense to retreat to, rest, renew and recharge.  The battles, losses, victories, disappointments, life's delights, a good laugh or a good cry... days and nights, years, the lives and loves we experience make us who we are, who we were and who we will be.

Chemical Extraction

The chemist who can extract from his heart's elements,
compassion, respect, longing, patience, regret, surprise and forgiveness
and compound them into one can create that atom which is called love.

Beginnings

The beginning of new life, a new day or year, a relationship, project or career, it starts out at the beginning so hopeful, happy about the possibilities the goodness and potential growth. We wonder which direction the wind will take us. We move forward with good intention to love, to be our best, a blessing and better for the wear and tear.

Beginnings prepare the way for the rest of the journey and destination the challenge to do it right with respect to those in our orbit. We honor precious life by living on the one day at a time plan, learning lessons we hope, gently, loving in accordance with those we must treasure, cherish and love to infinity as we keep them close to our heart and we grow like beautiful flowers in the garden, as the days go by the tending of our garden becomes second nature and necessary to thrive and stay alive. Life unfolds in mysterious ways we could have never guessed and more than our imagination could have ever dreamed as the left curves and sharp edges and sudden twists and turns leave us bewildered but stronger and wiser, toughened-up and tenderized.

From the beginning we start fresh with any luck on an even playing field with equal opportunities and chances to create a quality of life,  beautiful moments, times that matter, mean the most and are important. We start with an eagerness to make it count, to be excellent for excellence sake, to anticipate the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary places and people, situations and experiences that will stay with us forever if only in our memory. In the end we want to look back at a good run, the good fight for the betterment of the whole, the love that will linger in our thoughts, forlorn for those heartfelt connections however fleeting or lasting they are. We hope for and hang-on to happiness, peace of mind, finding our way, quiet nights and full days filled with joy and the satisfying fragrance of everyday miracles, blessings, light, love, laughter, encouragement, respect and endings that may or may not happen at all.

Radio Days ~

From my all-time favorite film; Radio Day's, written & directed by Woody Allen.
A look at life of people, Jewish & other characters who listened and were part of radio in the late 30s, New York. This gem refers to economic, political & religious goings on of the day but sounds very similar to contemporary status quo of the 21st century.
