Our Lady of Guadalupe

~ You know those images, thoughts, hopes and dreams that conjure up a sense of peace and calm especially amid a storm? You know an icon, symbol, sound, site that one takes comfort in, is reassured by and at peace with? For me the very sight of an artists rendering in any medium of Nuestra SeƱora de Guadalupe can do all that.

For as long as I can remember my Mother has always been very devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe which is no doubt why I feel such a connection as well, to Mary the Mother of God, heavenly intercessor, endearing, strong and humble, gentle and magnificant. The patron saint of The Americas, the poor, the proud, the weak and wordly have all reflected and adored the women who appeared in Mexico to unassuming children generations ago, bearing good news, a message of hope for all believers of the power and Grace of God. Miracles have been witnessed, many prayers answered and attributed to the sacred beauty and majesty found by the faithful and the followers of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Queen of Heaven lives, such an awesome image of peace and pure love for all who seek refuge from a world full of doubt and fear and I am grateful for her sacred presence in this fleeting life ~
