Shadows

Darkness then light, the difference between the variation of grey and black, off white pale and soft. Shadows bounce off the wall and roll on the ground, flutter, lay flat, perpendicular, parallel, inside out, upside down, over and under, surrounding us by the light of day around the corner into the empty space. Shadows in the night like whispers in your ears, a comma at the end of a sentence that continues on it's way until it reaches the end with the appropriate punctuation mark that indicates how the line ends, like a gentle reprieve from one thing to the other.

The angles begin and end in geometric ways in a vague formless subtle manner. The edge of darkness bleeds into a soft illumination or a stark contrasting nondescript color. Shadows are everywhere and created by direct and indirect light, space, form, matter, motion and beyond.

A shadow mimics itself, it duplicates, follows and clings to it's own reflection. A metaphor for life, death, the lively, lonely, lost, large, little or big love. Our shadow in heaven longs to touch our earthliness without disturbance, without, so much as a hint, a shadow makes the connection in such a way, we do not understand but it's neither a good thing nor bad, a shadow's only concern is to be a shadow. No wrong way to go about the business of being a shadow, only to be best of the best that a shadow can possibly be.

May

May your memories be good, of quality, able to make you comfortable, quiet your restlessness, brave, strong, happy, healthy and aware of the possible hazards ahead. May each day bring you some form of contentment, creativity in whatever measure and contain little if not big drops of joy and satisfaction, smiles and warmth when it's cold, a cool breeze when it too hot and something to fill your thoughts with matters of peace and comfort.

Just Do It

Just Do it or Don't do it. To Do List's, the Do's and Don’ts, Do this, that or the other thing. To Do or Not to Do. To be or not to be. You ask a question not expecting a satisfying answer but still you ask; "What's next?" "What do you do, how and when do you know and for whom, where and why exactly?”

There is a risk in remaining true to yourself if you are different, you set yourself up for harsh judgement; just being you presents the chance of misunderstandings mistaken as insignificant, unworthy of respect. One wonders how in the world things happen, are said or done to interfere with appreciating the importance and unique nature of each person. Corrosive factors inhibit the heart from thriving in pure lavish light while the soul continues its quest for simple elegant quiet, peace.  Just Be, I’ll be me while you are busy being you.

It requires extra effort for healthy perspective when what you want to do and where you find yourself, are not in sync. The desire for doing something different and being somewhere else evokes a longing, a restlessness to go beyond the moment, to imagine the possibilities of everything in every second, each experience and spoken or written word drenched with the potential of creating something positive, negative or neutral. Creative juices flow, brainwaves rush to the shore of expression or become dormant, lost in a wasteland of good ideas and inspiring heart-felt thoughts. The capability to encourage one another and fine-tune our own lives,  to cultivate goodness or stunt it is ours.

We do well then to simply; Be, I'll be me, you be you scooby-doobee-super-doobee you, living peacefully ever after ~

Ring of Life

We get to a point where we have squeezed-out every drop of fear, life, love, blood, sweat and tears, then a gust of courage, life, love, laughter and comfort comes along. One finds themselves immersed in the mysteries, magic and miracles of love lost and found, of life and death, our every breath bordering on the balance of light and darkness of joy and pain, loss and gain. Moments of reprieve may seem fewer and far between but become more important and make more sense out of hope and faith than ever before.

We move along in the ring of life, bobbing, weaving, jetting back and forth hoping to maintain a strong sacred heart, avoiding technical knock-outs or defeat by decision. We take life's jabs and punches, ultimately one blessing, blow, one kiss, misfortune, grand slam and spectacularly simple moment at a time, on the ready for any mental, spiritual or emotional opponent.

The physical realm is pushed beyond it's limits but the desire and discipline to train and optimize our awesome places of the heart, grows ever grander with the potential to overcome the little and large obstacles, the busy and quiet times, the full and empty days and every which way we go in our heads, hearts and souls- that make us champions of the world in love, light, goodness and a beautiful blessing to others. Yes ~

Creature Comforts

What makes a creature the way it is? It's evolutionary predecessor? The author and creator, finisher of life? What makes life the way it is? In design, form, function, anymore lovely, lovable, dangerous, repulsive or irresistible than the other? Where it is placed, in flight like the snow geese or crane, in the water, the rain, on land or in a grain of sand? In the tropics or in the high desert? Cared for, comfortable, miserable, feared or forgotten? An innocent dog is "awarded" the title of 'World's Ugliest Dog', with it's little naked head shivering, bulging eyes glisten as a bright brilliant smile frame it's dangling tongue.

The soul so simple and complicated serving as humankind's habitat, the heartland and epicenter of our existence. As nomads we sojourn lost, found, disconnected and connected to each other in time and in the places where our hearts and souls lead us. One heart, one vibration transcending nations, scary, serious, sad, silly,  inspiring situations occur. One imagines a different life, comparing, compromising, hopeful compassion is in place coexisting, codependent upon one another for matters of the mind and body.

How the spirit thrives off of a pulsating planet, people, plants, animals, dwellers of water, land and air breathing one sacred breath into the other. The preciousness of life, this moment, the past and future precious life. The humble, the haughty, the cavalier, crazy, the creative, cranky and incredible, every single speck of light, every dark corner of the world may contain earths elements, from massive elegant oceanic sea creatures to flightless birds who run into the sky like a dream then lands gracefully back on solid ground. Priceless are the treasures of this world.

POV

One word, three syllables; PERSPECTIVE, a way of looking at anything. It is a slippery slope, the spins, twists and turns can rattle your cage float your boat and get your goat. Your Point Of View can make or break any given moment, any given experience like the weather effects the day and a chronic physical, mental or spiritual pain clouds your thinking. My view point can piss me off, make me feel uneasy OR at ease and content, pleased to the point of blissful abandon and feel like everything is alright in the world.

What is happening, might happen or has happened is not always clear as to the why's and wherefores, the unfair nature of things, full of unwanted anguish when harsh reality breathes down your neck like an angry open wound OR the particular moment feels right perhaps holy, happy as can be and complete. Attitude accompanies the Point Of View and is worn like a freshly laundered garment, pressed and well taken care of, or scanty, weather beaten and threadbare to the bone. From the beginning, right in the middle or in the end. Each thought whether prayerful, excellent, pleasant, super cool, creative, painful, pathetic, crazy, cold or luke warm, it flows in and out, ergo, our stream of consciousness, which does not necessarily include a Point Of View whatsoever.

One's Point of View is Perception's twin that paints the past, present and future picture. Perhaps this or that is a waste of time and effort, pointless OR seen as magically delicious, delightful, sweet and satisfying. It, Life is largely based on our own design, our own Point Of View while simply thinking, reflecting, meditating, existing. Yes, living, breathing taking it all in one minute, one miserable, magnificent, melancholy, miraculous minute and thought at a time, constant as a heart beat. When we are inclined to size-up a situation, if and how it effects us, good or bad, right or wrong; The Point Of View is determined by times of our lives with swatches of multi-textured fabric that wrap around our unique perspectives, varied and diverse, rich, mysterious and simple as a rain drop, snow flake, falling leave and whisper in the breeze.

It's All Good ~

There is a place where it is all good and calm, clean, healthy of mind, body and spirit, secure, safe and beautiful. It is where love and peace dwell and all is well, where blessings are itemized, the inventory vast, constant miracles abound and whispers from heaven, common. With a keen sense of appreciation for countless blessings received I wrap humble gratitude around my heart like the warm glow of fire underneath the massive hearth.

I pray we access the sacred place of peace in the midst of doubt and despair. I wish the young and old, forgotten and forsaken, the mistreated and traumatized from all walks of life in every part of the world would find the peaceful, perfect powerful place they long for. For light in dark places where suffering and fear are no longer constant companions nor reality so harsh. I pray consolation overthrows what seems hopeless and joy hastens to diminish sorrow.

It's not all good and not quite clear as to why anguish, anger, greed, hate and oppression become main languages spoken. One person lives with chronic mental, emotional or physical pain while another lavishes in the pleasures of life. If only life were fair and provided equal distribution of love, compassion, happiness, where kindness and respect are the first and last order of the day and we realize every moment in between is an opportunity to make it all good.
